Helfende Pfoten

Our dogs are more than just helpers

When man and dog become a real team

They accompany people with disabilities through everyday life – reliably, lovingly and with a clear goal: more independence, safety and enjoyment of life.

Assistance dogs have officially been considered aids in Germany since 2021. Despite this, there is still no state funding. That is why we are campaigning:

We collect donations – for suitable dogs, their professional training and the individual support of the human-dog teams.

Depending on the situation, different funding options are available. We provide personal and transparent advice.

Tested quality

We are a member of Assistance Dogs International (ADI) – the world’s largest specialist network for assistance dogs.
Our work meets the quality standards of ADI and the legal requirements in Germany.

What this means for you:
Our teams receive support at the highest professional level – in selection, training and long-term support.

Our mission

We want to see people blossom – with an assistance dog at their side.

Many of our dogs work with children and young people. But sometimes a dog shows that it is better suited to an adult. Even then, we support the resulting team with our heart, experience and time.

Our history

The Assistenzhunde Helfende Pfoten gGmbH was founded in May 2023 – by seven people with a deep connection to working with assistance dogs.
It was formed from the merger of the association Helfende Pfoten and Gut Paulshof Assistenzhunde GbR.

Our shared vision: to accompany
people on their way to finding the right assistance dog – with expertise, respect and genuine participation.

In June 2024, we were officially accredited by the ADI – an important step towards greater quality and trust.
