A new life for Tobias
A new life - with support on four paws
Tobias lives with ME/CFS – myalgic encephalomyelitis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome. The illness began after a viral infection. Since then, everything has changed.
When even life is too much
Tobias has been unable to work for over a year. Meeting up with friends, going for a walk, shopping or visiting a café – all of this is hardly possible anymore.
ME/CFS means: extreme exhaustion, sensitivity to light and sound and the feeling of being trapped in your own body.
Even small efforts can trigger a “crash” – days, sometimes weeks of complete exhaustion.
Leo brings hope and support
But there is help – on four paws.
A specially trained assistance dog can help Tobias to get through everyday life more safely and independently. A dog like this can provide support, take on small tasks – and above all: be there.
Tobias has already met Leo. Leo is a young black Labrador with a calm, sensitive nature. The connection was immediate.
Leo is strong enough to support Tobias as he walks. He will learn to take on tasks – with calm, reliability and heart.
