A partner on four paws

For a self-determined (children's) life

An assistance dog can enrich your life – with trust, closeness and real support in everyday life.

Are you considering whether an assistance dog would suit you or your family? Then you’ve come to the right place.

We accompany children, young people and adults with disabilities on this special journey – with experience, sensitivity and respect for your individual needs.

The path to becoming an assistance dog

Every person is unique – just like every dog. That’s why we always adapt the process to your life situation.

Here you will find an initial overview of the typical steps:

2. getting to know each other personally

We get to know each other in an initial meeting - by telephone or on site.

3. decision for cooperation

If we are a good fit, we plan the next steps together.

4. build trust & loyalty

In supervised training sessions, you grow together as a team - at your own pace.

5th team test

A certified test procedure ensures that you are ready for everyday life as a human-dog team.

6. aftercare

We are also there for you after the exam - with training, advice and support.

7. pension of the dog

If the assistance dog retires, we will accompany you through this transition and are available for a new placement if required.

Training locations

We are currently working with experienced trainers in the regions:

  • Greater Cologne/Bonn & Overath area
  • Flensburg & surroundings

Do you live further away? No problem:

In individually planned training weeks in Overath, we can work specifically with you – tailored to your needs.

Thanks to the good transport links via Cologne, it is also easy to get here from other parts of Germany or abroad.
