Donate for an assistance dog for ME/CFS and give courage to face life

With your support, we enable people with ME/CFS to have access to a specially trained assistance dog – for more security, self-determination and confidence.

We need a total of €57,000 to train, care for and accompany the dogs and their people.

What is ME/CFS?

ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome) is a severe neurological disease associated with profound fatigue, pain and exercise intolerance (PEM).

The effects are massive: many sufferers lose their mobility, independence – and often also their connection to their social life. Even simple activities such as showering or a quick trip to the kitchen can trigger a breakdown.

Hope on four paws

Every donation goes directly towards the training and care of the assistance dogs. In doing so, you are enabling a major step towards greater enjoyment of life, independence and dignity for people with ME/CFS.

Let’s set an example of solidarity together. Let’s help those who have to struggle with almost insurmountable obstacles every day.

Glimmer of hope: specially trained assistance dogs

For people with ME/CFS, an assistance dog is much more than just help in everyday life:

  • It recognizes symptoms of overload at an early stage
  • He brings medication or drinks
  • He opens doors or gets help
  • It provides support – both physically and emotionally

Why your donation counts

  • Training an assistance dog takes several years and is cost-intensive.
  • People with ME/CFS are often no longer able to work and are dependent on support.
  • Health insurance companies do not usually cover the costs – your donation makes the difference.

Our special feature

How your help works

  • More self-determination: The dog enables participation in life and strengthens autonomy.
  • Concrete relief: It helps precisely when strength is lacking.
  • Emotional stability: it comforts, connects and provides security.
