The Board
Our honorary board of directors has consisted of the same three people since the association was founded:
1st Chairman Heiko Küsters
Heiko Küsters, master craftsman, expert in the trade and active for many years together with his partner Katharina Küsters in the field of dog training, resocialization and assistance dog team training.
Treasurer: Tanja Henker-Steuber
Tanja Henker-Steuber, physician assistant and family manager, herself a family caregiver and therefore assistance dog handler in the team. Contact person when there are difficulties with the trainers and instructors.
Secretary: Katharina Küsters
Katharina Küsters, Dipl. Social worker, expert for dogs of the state of NRW, recognized expert for dogs and assistance dogs (BDSF e.V.). She has now been active in the field of (assistance) dogs for well over 10 years, training dogs and accompanying teams.
Many years of experience and expertise meet empathy, passion and commitment in our board of directors. We look forward to accompanying many more human-assist dog communities on their journey.
Association dog representative: Sabine Urselmann (extended board)
State-approved social pedagogue B.A., mother of two “special” children with assistance dog and therefore assistance dog handler in the team
Responsible for: Organizational matters around the acquisition and breeding of our club dogs, contact person if there are difficulties with the board.
