Tobias

Tobias suffers from ME/CFS caused by a viral infection.

A normal life as he knew it is no longer possible for Tobias. Tobias has been unable to work for over a year and there is no end in sight because there is currently no cure for the condition. Acoustic stimuli put a lot of strain on Tobias and can quickly cause a so-called ‘crash’. This means in particular: Meetings and visits to restaurants with friends and family are now only possible to a very limited extent, and attending celebrations such as weddings and birthdays is completely out of the question. His energy reserves are barely sufficient to do the shopping or go for a walk. Tobias has also had to stop traveling, one of his greatest hobbies.

A specially trained assistance dog will make Tobias’ life much easier and give him back his independence and self-determination. The loyal companion can take on a variety of tasks to make Tobias’ everyday life safer and more comfortable.

Tobias was able to meet our assistance dog trainee Leo – a black Labrador. He will be big enough to support and guide Tobias when he walks and to take on smaller household tasks. The two of them get along wonderfully and already form a very harmonious unit.
